Jennifer brings 20 years of experience in the hair and makeup industry to Meraki. Jennifer has spent most of her career at AF Bennett Salon and Wellness Spa, as the styling floor director, educator, master stylist and master colorist.

Meraki (pronounced: may-rah-kee; Greek):

To do something with utmost care, to place into the act or the task at hand, your complete and undivided attention, to be done with an open willingness and with complete whole love, and when done with specificity to craft, it is to be done with a powerful desire or a diligent ardor, expressly for the person who is asking you to perform the said task or craft that is wanted from you.

It’s meaning, simply put – is doing something with soul, creativity, or love — when you put “something of yourself” into what you're doing, whatever it may be, the essence of yourself put into your work.

At Meraki Hair and Makeup Studio our expert team does exactly that, although our team makes what they do seem effortless, every member of our team is not only a New York State licensed Cosmetologist but also have graduated our very own Meraki Advanced Academy and are required to participate in continuous education courses annually designed to continually challenge their skills and keep them up on the latest trends.
