SALON POLICIES

Any purchased retail items found to be defective or unsatisfactory may be eligible for a refund or exchange within 7 days from date of purchase with a receipt.

Adjustment policy

If a guest is not completely satisfied with the result of their service, they may request an adjustment of the same service with the same technician at no additional cost within one (1) week of the original service date. Guests who decline to return to same stylist for an adjustment may receive service from another stylist, at no charge, within one week of the initial service. However, guest will be referred to Management, who will select another employee based on the individual situation.

Custom Service Policy

A consultation is required prior to booking any texture service (ie: perm, keratin, custom extensions.) The terms and conditions for custom services, including hair extensions, texture services and microblading are governed by a separate written agreement between Meraki Hair & Makeup Studio and the guest. Custom services require a non-refundable deposit and a completed service agreement prior to a guest’s service appointment.

Cancellation & Confirmation Policies

Your appointments are very important to all our team members at Meraki Hair & Makeup Studio. Time allotted for an appointment is reserved specifically for you. There are no double bookings. We do understand that sometimes schedule adjustments are necessary; therefore, we respectfully request at least 24 – hour notice for adjustments to your appointments and for cancellations. All our policies are designed to benefit our guests.

When you forget or cancel your appointment without giving enough notice, your service provider misses the opportunity to fill that appointment time, and clients on our waiting list miss the opportunity to receive services they need. If a guest has failed to give adequate notice on three (3) separate occasions, a non-refundable deposit will be required to secure the next appointment. A credit card number will then be stored in our secured encrypted files and in the event we do not receive the required notice for adjustments and cancellations a 50% service fee will be applied to your credit card or alternatively billed out to you.

We respect you as a valued guest and we hope to continually be of service to you and we thank you for your loyalty. As an added courtesy, all reservations made more than 48 hours before the appointment will be confirmed via e-mail, text, or phone call.

Payments

Meraki Hair & Makeup Studio accepts cash, gift cards, debit cards and all major credit cards. We do not accept Personal Checks.

GRATUITIES

Gratuities cannot be added to a credit card bill. Gift Cards cannot be redeemed for gratuitous purposes. An ATM is available for your convenience near the front desk.

PERSONAL BELONGINGS 

We are not responsible for any damage to personal belongings (including but not limited to handbags, clothing  etc. ) ALL guests are provided with a complimentary robe with every visit. We strongly suggest you take advantage of this service by changing out prior to start of your service. We thank you for your cooperation.

CHILDREN

Meraki Hair & Studio considers children to be of or under the age of 12. We have taken extra steps to ensure the safety and comfort of your little ones in the hair salon. To guarantee the tranquility of our other guests, children must remain supervised at all times and are not allowed to randomly walk around the salon.

CHILDREN FAQ:

What age is considered a child at Meraki Hair & Makeup Studio? Meraki Hair & Makeup Studio considers a child to be 12 years old and under.

Which stylists can I book my child with? You can book your appointment with any of our Academy Stylists and Junior Stylists for a price of a child’s haircut. All other stylists levels prices charge full adult prices for all clients.

What is the charge for a children’s haircut? A children’s cut can be from $27-$35. This charge may be more if extra time is needed, your child has very long/curly hair or curling/flat iron has to be used.

Can I bring my child to the salon when I get a haircut? Yes. Your child may wait for you in the waiting area. If your child can not be left alone in the waiting area, we suggest a care taker to accompany them. Please take complete responsibility for your child while at the salon as a courtesy to the other mothers and fathers trying to relax and enjoy services. No running, playing, yelling, or rough housing will be allowed in the salon at any time.

Please remember to always accompany your child.

MINORS Policy

Meraki Stylists are not permitted to perform color services on guests under 18 years of age. Any minor under the age of 18 must have an adult guardian present during their service consultation before receiving services in the salon.
