SALON LEVEL SYSTEM

The primary goals of our Salon Level System within Meraki Hair & Makeup Studio is to provide a career path of growth and achievement for team members and to offer several options for our guests to meet their diverse needs when it comes to salon services. Guests may choose the stylist/level that compliments their requests from skill set to education, and budget.

All stylists, regardless of prior experience, must be a New York State licensed cosmetologist and attend the Meraki Advanced Academy prior to working hands-on with our guests. Meraki Hair and Makeup Studio certifies the stylists in precision cutting & Styling, advanced hair color application & techniques, as well as product knowledge to ensure they can offer the highest level of service and experience. This program guarantees quality control within our organization as we pride ourselves on our advanced education and believe this is what sets us apart from others in the beauty industry.

Our menus display a  range of prices based upon technical skill of the artist, and are classified by their availability, education, and demand. Our expert team are not simply hair hobbyists, but rather expertly trained professional technicians that make a living, support a family and their local community by plying their trade each and every day. You may schedule an appointment for a complimentary consultation to get an exact cost for the requested service based on your stylist of choice.

Apprentice / Assistant Stylist

A recent beauty school graduate and licensed New York State Cosmetologist currently undergoing our 6 to 12 month Advanced Training Academy.

During this period, they are assisting the Meraki Style Team in the service of guests daily and working closely under the guidance of Meraki Salon Educators in order to learn advanced skills, improve efficiency and learn our specific procedures, while servicing their own guests (models) a few hours per week.

New Talent / Junior Stylist (J1)

A stylist who has completed their initial Meraki Advanced Training Academy under our Certified Meraki Salon Educators.

After completing our Meraki Advanced Training Program, our hair stylists graduate to a New Talent / Junior Stylist. Prices for a New Talent Stylist’s services are less than any other level due to their short amount of time in the industry. A New Talent Stylist is NOT someone who is a recently licensed cosmetologist, but rather someone who is new to our salon, offering beautiful and budget friendly services.
